- API access is listed on Kitt's Free Forever plan. Lookups may use credits.
Before you start
- Log in details for your Kitt account.
- OneTimeSecret open in another tab. You will use it to send the key. How it works.
Get your API key
Log in to Kitt
Go to admin.trykitt.ai and log in. This is the same page the Log In button on trykitt.ai opens.
Find the API settings
Look in the menu for the API section. It may be called API, API settings, or sit under your account settings.
Copy the key
Copy your API key. If there is no key yet, use the button on that page to create one.
Careful
Copy the whole key. It is a long string of letters and numbers.
Send it to us
Send it with OneTimeSecret
Paste the key into OneTimeSecret, create the link, and send us only the link. Label it "Kitt API key".
Something not right?
I can't find the API section
Kitt does not publish a public guide for this screen. Send us a screenshot of your dashboard menu (no keys in it) and we will point you to it. Or ask Kitt support where to find your API key.
Will a new key break anything?
If another tool already uses your existing key, copy that key instead of making a new one. A new key could replace the old one, and tools using the old key would stop working.
