Before you start
- Log in details for your Smartlead account.
- OneTimeSecret open in another tab. You will use it to send the key. How it works.
Get your API key
Log in to Smartlead
Go to app.smartlead.ai and log in.
Open Settings
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Go to the API section
In Settings, open the API section.
Generate and copy the key
If you don't have a key yet, click Generate New API Key. Then click copy next to the key.
Careful
Copy the whole key. It is a long string of letters and numbers.
Send it to us
Send it with OneTimeSecret
Paste the key into OneTimeSecret, create the link, and send us only the link. Label it "Smartlead API key".
Something not right?
I don't see Settings or API
You are probably logged in as a team member without admin rights. Ask the account owner to do these steps, or to give you admin access.
Will generating a new key break anything?
If you already have a key that other tools use, copy the existing key instead of generating a new one. A new key can replace the old one, and tools using the old key would stop working.
