- What we need
- 1 access token
- Time
- about 3 minutes
- Who can do this
- a workspace admin
- Plan needed
- works on all Attio plans
Before you start
- Log in details for an Attio user who is a workspace admin.
- OneTimeSecret open in another tab. You will use it to send the token. How it works.
Get your access token
Open Workspace settings
Log in to app.attio.com. Click the small arrow next to your workspace name (top left). Click Workspace settings.
Go to Developers
Click the Developers tab.
Create a new token
Click + New access token. Type a name, for example "Uplifted Consulting".
Set the scopes
In Scopes, give the token access to what we need. Unless we told you otherwise, set these to read and write:
- Records
- Object configuration
- List entries
- List configuration
And set User management to read.
Tip
Records need Object configuration too. If you only tick Records, the token won't work.
Copy the token
Save the token, then copy it.
Careful
Copy the whole token. It is a long string of letters and numbers.
Send it to us
Send it with OneTimeSecret
Paste the token into OneTimeSecret, create the link, and send us only the link. Label it "Attio access token".
Something not right?
I don't see the Developers tab
Only workspace admins can see it. Ask an admin to do these steps, or to make you an admin.
I set the wrong scopes
No problem. On the Developers page, click the three dots next to the token and choose Edit. Change the scopes and save. The token stays the same.
Does the token expire?
No. It works until someone deletes it. To remove our access later, click the three dots next to it and choose Delete.
